Back from Vacation.....

Yes, I said back from vacation. I hadn't really had anything to blog about cuz everything was going smoothly. Or so I believed. Got a call from Caleb's teacher and 1) was difficult today & believed to be a social outcast banned from Camp Young tomorrow for not listening to the life guard. OK!!! OK!! I get it (teacher) playing around the pool is nothing to sneeze at. BUT how is one incident all year going really break you? 2) Found out that Caleb is not failing.. good news yes, I agree. BUT failing math. Thought he would have to go to summer school... NOPE. The teacher & Principal has a meeting and decided that Caleb should not go to summer school because he is too difficult to handle. No YCAPP in place for him as YCAPP has a summer program. Can we say "pass the buck"? Yes, it is passing the buck. I told his teach that I thought that it was pathetic that they were choosing to just pass Caleb with a D in math even though he didn't earn one... She thought it was pathetic that Caleb wasn't doing his homework. Well, Caleb has chosen not to turn in his homework and I find it hard to believe that not doing his homework is the reason why he is failing Math. She didn't agree. I was mad as hell!! Still mad and I had the coversation with his teacher HOURS ago! He hasn't been suspended from school but they want me to keep him home since all the rest of the 4th grade classes are going to be gone. I asked her did she let Caleb know that he was going to camp tomorrow and she said "No, I choose not to tell Caleb things fearing how me might act." I never know how Caleb is gonna act one minute from the next. I have other students to think about and getting them to the bus with out interference from Caleb." She further stated that is how she handles Caleb. She just leaves him alone. Ok so back from vacation I go.... This sucks!! (YCAPP is special services that Caleb receives, they are an outside agency servicing children with in the schools)
